Education, whether at school level or through furthering skills within the workplace, is vital for the community in which Boxer serves. The various education initiatives successfully assist the youth and promote career defining paths through a series of opportunities including the Boxer Youth Leadership Programme through to the Boxer Training Department.

Shopping at Boxer stores not only benefit our customers through exciting promotions, combos, deals and competitions but, through our CSR programmes, the whole community benefit at various exit points i.e job creation, food parcels, school support, services and through partnerships with community organisations.

Our CSR Programmes are structured in such a way that they benefit local communities around the areas where we trade. It is our way of giving back to the communities that support our business.
Social and Economic Development responsibility:
Through our CSR strategy we ensure that as Boxer we not only give donations that are so critically needed, but we also support initiatives that result in income generating for our own people. The beneficiaries therefore participate in the development and growth of rural and township economy.
Small Business Development
Boxer, as an integral part of the communities it serves, continually strives to partner with small and micro-enterprises. This is part of its ongoing journey to empower local people and organizations, creating a stronger, more inclusive economy.
Sports
Boxer recognises the important role sport plays in building communities. By providing sport kits, sponsoring teams and managing a team of runners through the Boxer Athletics Club, Boxer continues to empower communities through sport.
Going Green
Boxer’s efforts to create a cleaner future for generations can be seen through the many initiatives under the Going Green banner. From unique recycling projects to energy savings practices, Boxer is determined to make a difference.
